The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is hiring a Planning Officer to join our Planning Service in a two Area Team structure. You will manage a broad range of applications, certificates and pre-application enquiries, and assist with planning appeals under written representations.

We value flexible and hybrid working, a strong team environment, and opportunities for career development. A degree in Town Planning or related field is preferred, with Local Planning Authority experience

Qualifications

• Degree in Town Planning or related subject, or a qualified Planner.
• Experience with a Local Planning Authority is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deal with a wide range of planning applications, certificates and pre-application enquiries.
• Assist with planning appeals under the written representation procedure.
• Support more senior officers with larger and more complex applications and condition discharges.
