Job summary

Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is seeking a Planning Officer to join the Planning Service. The role handles a range of planning applications, certificates and pre-application enquiries, with potential involvement in planning appeals under written representations.

Degree in Town Planning or a relevant subject, or a qualified Planner, is required; Local Planning Authority experience is welcome but not essential. Hybrid working and a clear path for career progression are offered.

The Role

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to join our Planning Service as a Planning Officer within one of our two Area Teams.

As a Planning Officer, you will deal with a wide range of applications, certificates and pre-application enquiries. The role would include dealing with planning appeals under the written representation procedure. You may also be asked to help more senior officers with larger and more complex applications and condition discharges.

If you have a degree in Town Planning or in a relevant subject, or are a qualified Planner, then we want to hear from you. Experience working for a Local Planning Authority is desirable but not essential.
