Job summary

Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council is seeking a Principal Policy Planner to support the Local Plan production and implementation, delivering high quality, sustainable development across the Borough. The role includes deputising for the Planning Policy Manager, supervising junior staff, and leading key workstreams with an emphasis on evidence base development.

Ideal candidates will have extensive post-qualification Planning and Local Government experience, strong collaboration

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the Local Plan production and implementation.
• Provide support and technical expertise to the Planning Policy Manager and supervise junior staff.
• Lead key workstreams for the Local Plan, including evidence base preparation.
• Contribute to high quality, sustainable development and placemaking across the Borough.
• Consult with the community and stakeholders to inform planning decisions.
