Job summary

North Warwickshire Borough Council is seeking a Land Charges and Validation Officer within the Development Management Team to administer Local Land Charges searches and validate planning applications. The role supports prompt, accurate processing and provides guidance to applicants and agents.

You will be one of the first contacts for customers, maintaining records and helping improve processes as the council continues to invest in its Planning Service.

Qualifications

• Administration of Local Land Charges searches
• Validation of planning applications against statutory/local requirements
• Provide guidance to applicants, agents, solicitors and members of the public

Responsibilities

• Processing Local Land Charges searches and associated enquiries
• Validating planning applications and checking submissions against statutory and local requirements
• Providing advice and guidance to applicants, agents, solicitors and members of the public
• Maintaining accurate records and databases
• Supporting the wider Development Management Team with administrative and customer service functions
• Assisting with continuous improvement of planning and land charges processes
