Job summary

Berrys is seeking a Planning and Development Lead in Kettering to take ownership of a full-service development offering, leveraging the firm's client base and multi-disciplinary platform.

As a partner-level leader, you will guide strategy, grow the pipeline from landowners and developers, and coordinate across architecture, surveying, valuation, and land promotion to deliver a joined-up service in Northamptonshire.

Qualifications

• MRTPI/MRICS qualified with significant post-qualification planning or development experience.
• Broad planning knowledge across residential, commercial, mixed-use and strategic land.
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to convert opportunities.
• Senior-level credibility with clients, authorities and stakeholders.
• Interest in partnership and long-term ownership within a multi-disciplinary practice.

Responsibilities

• Take autonomous ownership of the planning and development service line in Kettering, setting direction and growth.
• Build and manage a pipeline of landowners, developers, promoters and investors.
• Deliver strategic planning advice across pre-application, applications, appeals and post-planning work.
• Coordinate with architecture, surveying, valuation and land promotion teams to offer a full-service offering.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities and build the local profile.
• Grow the team over time and contribute to the firm's strategic direction.
