Job Description

Role Overview

Support the Quality & Compliance team, based in Exeter with Planning Compliance and quality management, risk assessment and compliance monitoring of Conditions and Legal Obligations attached to Planning Permissions, whether granted by Local Authority or by the Planning Inspectorate on Appeal. Responsibility for managing individual processes and projects increases with developing competency through experience.

What will you be doing?

  • Assist with Planning & Grid room management, ensuring all data is correct and up to date
  • Review and monitoring of Planning Conditions and Legal Obligations, including:
  • Assessment of cost implications of required landscaping, biodiversity and drainage enhancement/mitigation
  • Monitoring continuing compliance with and progress in discharge of requirements
  • Liaise with internal project teams, external consultants, local planning authorities and clients
  • Undertake solar site visit risk assessment and compliance checks where needed
  • Provide technical assistance to projects

What are we looking for?

  • Planning / Environmental / Renewables degree and/or relevant experience
  • High capacity for learning, adaptation and application of new skills
  • Intermediate IT skills (MS Office Suite, Excel and Adobe) and computer literacy
  • Self-motivated, inspired and goal-oriented
  • Interest in Planning, Renewables and Alternative Energy sector
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport
