Job summary

Celtic Horizons, a partnership between United Welsh Group and Mears Group PLC, is seeking a Planner in Caerphilly. The role is full-time and permanent with a salary of £30,621.20 per year. Core duties include scheduling operatives, monitoring repairs, and maintaining schedules of rates.

Qualifications

• Experience in a planning/administration role preferred.
• GCSEs English and Maths at level 4 or equivalent.
• Strong IT skills and proficiency with MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise with changing deadlines.
• Strong customer service ethos and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Schedule operatives and subcontractors to optimise resources.
• Monitor and update repair jobs daily, including appointments and follow‑ups.
• Assist with IT systems; ensure PDAs and schedule of rates are updated.
• Communicate clearly with residents, operatives and stakeholders.
• Work with administrators, supervisors and contractors for a seamless service.
• Cover for other planners and attend meetings or training as required.
• Follow Health & Safety policies at all times.
• Assist with reporting and monitoring of KPIs and targets.
• Prioritise emergency and urgent jobs to minimise disruption.
• Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance.
• Support continuous service improvements by suggesting scheduling enhancements.
• Provide general administrative support to repairs team.
