Job summary

James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd, in partnership with a Gloucestershire Housing Association, is recruiting a Planned Works Manager for a six-month contract (three days a week). The role focuses on managing planned investment programmes across a residential portfolio, with a daily rate negotiable up to £375 via Umbrella.

You will lead Building Surveyors, oversee delivery to quality and budget standards, and drive contractor performance through KPIs. Immediate start.

Qualifications

• Experience managing planned maintenance or capital works in social housing.
• Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of contract management and KPIs.
• Ability to lead technical teams including surveyors.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Building Surveyors delivering planned investment programmes across kitchens, bathrooms and other cyclical maintenance works.
• Oversee the delivery of planned maintenance programmes, ensuring works meet quality, budget and performance standards.
• Review contract variations, assess costs, programme impacts and value for money.
• Manage tenant complaints related to planned works and ensure timely resolutions.
• Support procurement of planned maintenance contractors through tender evaluation and mobilisation.
• Hold contractors accountable for service delivery and contractual compliance against KPIs.
