Job summary

Build Recruitment is recruiting a Contracts Manager to oversee social housing planned works and retrofit programmes across occupied properties in Devon, Dorset and Wiltshire. The role focuses on driving delivery, coordinating programmes, and maintaining safety standards with a drive to grow the contract.

You will manage subcontractors, plan works, control costs, and ensure client relationships remain strong while delivering high-quality results on time.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Contracts Manager or similar in social housing.
• Proven track record delivering planned works.
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
• Strong communication and client management skills.
• Full UK driving licence and construction qualification(s)

We are currently working with aleading social housing contractorwho is looking to appoint an experiencedContracts Managerto oversee planned works and retrofit programmes across occupied Housing Association properties throughoutDevon, Dorset and Wiltshire.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business and take responsibility for acontract, with the ambition to grow the programme to around£10 million per year.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the contract, including:

• Programming and planning works.
• Managing subcontractors and site teams.
• Monitoring progress, quality and costs.
• Managing client relationships.
• Ensuring works are delivered on time and to a high standard.
• Maintaining strongHealth & Safetystandards.
• Managing works within occupied social housing.
• Helping develop and grow the contract.

About You

We are looking for adriven and experienced Contracts Managerwith a strong background in planned works.

You will ideally have:

• Experience as a Contracts Manager or similar.
• Experience deliveringplanned works, ideally within social housing.
• Retrofit or energy-efficiency experience would be an advantage.
• Good knowledge ofHealth & Safety.
• Strong experience in programming and planning works.
• Experience managing subcontractors and teams.
• Good communication and client management skills.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Relevant construction qualification - HNC, SMSTS, First Aid
