Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group is recruiting for a Planned Service Engineer to join an established engineering business covering Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and the surrounding M1 corridor. This field-based role offers full training through a structured programme of in-house and on-site learning and requires flexibility for travel.

You will perform routine planned maintenance on machine tools and associated equipment, develop your technical skills and deliver excellent customer service while

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification or relevant experience in an engineering environment.
• A consistent employment history showing interest in engineering.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems would be advantageous.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and keen to learn.
• Ability to use initiative and work independently.
• Professional presentation with a customer-focused approach.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with people at all levels.
• Flexibility to travel across the region and adapt hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine planned maintenance and servicing of machine tools and equipment.
• Develop the technical skills to diagnose and resolve machinery issues.
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide a professional service.
• Identify opportunities to promote machine tools and equipment.
• Work independently, manage workload and prioritise customer requirements.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service.
• Participate in structured training to develop field engineering capabilities.
