Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group is recruiting a Planned Service Engineer to cover Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire, with travel across the M1 corridor west of London. Full training will be provided through a structured programme of in-house and on-site learning.

The role involves carrying out routine planned maintenance on machine tools and equipment, building technical skills and delivering excellent customer service while promoting related machinery products.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification via apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in an engineering environment.
• A logical, steady employment history showing interest in engineering.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems is advantageous.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and keen to learn.
• Ability to use own initiative and work independently.
• Professional presentation with a customer-focused approach.
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with people at all levels.
• Willingness to travel within the designated region and adjust working hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine planned maintenance and servicing of machine tools and related equipment.
• Develop technical skills to diagnose and resolve machinery issues.
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide a professional service.
• Identify opportunities to promote machine tools and associated products.
• Work independently, manage workload and prioritise customer requirements.
