Job summary

Rolls Royce Motor Cars at Goodwood is offering a placement-year internship in Manufacturing Engineering & Assembly starting July 2027. You will learn manufacturing planning from concept through shopfloor, apply lean principles, and work on projects spanning new model introductions and site development.

You will analyze data with software like Microsoft VBA, develop coding skills, and gain exposure to multiple departments, under a dedicated mentor.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Automotive Engineering and aiming for a 2:2 or above.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Manufacturing Systems and/or Quality Systems is beneficial.
• Fluent English; German language skills advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Learn the manufacturing planning process from concept idea to implementation on the shopfloor applying lean manufacturing principles.
• Work on a variety of projects, from new model introduction to site development.
• Apply design and manufacturing skills learnt at university in real-time environments.
• Conduct data analysis using software such as Microsoft VBA and develop coding skills.
