Job summary

Roche UK in Welwyn Garden City is offering an office-based industrial placement for an undergraduate in life sciences (2nd year). You will work within Regulated Bioanalysis and Biosample Operations to support clinical biosample strategies and biomarker activities across early-phase studies.

You will gain hands-on experience in biosample lifecycle management, project coordination, and digital tooling while being mentored by experienced staff.

Qualifications

• Undergrad in life sciences in 2nd year or similar, seeking industry exposure.
• Interest in clinical trial biosample and bioanalysis workflows.
• Willing to work office-based in Welwyn Garden City, UK.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day biosample operational activities led by Biosample Project Leaders.
• Assist with review of project metrics and financial aspects for trials.
• Help maintain biosample management platforms and documentation.
• Contribute to the full biosample lifecycle from collection to storage.
• Learn regulated bioanalysis with support from BioAnalytical Managers.
• Engage in stakeholder and vendor meetings and cross-functional collaboration.
• Develop digital skills and use internal tools and platforms.
