Job summary

Roche UK offers an office-based industrial placement in Welwyn Garden City for a STEM student. You will join the Clinical Pharmacology Science and analytics team within the Quantitative Clinical Pharmacology Department to apply analytical skills and help ensure medicines are safe and effective.

This placement is not laboratory-based; you will work from Roche UK offices and gain hands-on experience in data analysis, study design, and collaboration with scientists on drug development.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate student in 2nd year of BA/BS or integrated Master’s with strong academic record.
• Great communicator who enjoys working in a team.
• Enthusiastic about learning new skills and challenges, with willingness to learn R or Python.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret data from clinical trials to understand how medicines work.
• Develop analytical tools and approaches to support research.
• Contribute to the design of future clinical studies.
• Attend Clinical Study Team meetings.
• Share findings to guide critical team decisions.
• Contribute to Welwyn events and inclusion initiatives.
