Job summary

Roche UK offers a non-laboratory, office-based Industrial Placement at Welwyn Garden City for two undergraduates in life sciences. You will gain training in business processes, systems and coding while working with clinical bioX strategies to translate biosamples into medicines.

The role emphasizes autonomy, collaboration and continuous development in a supportive environment. Placement is office-based not lab-based, with coaching from experienced colleagues and opportunities to contribute

Qualifications

Must be an undergraduate in your second year of a Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s degree in a life sciences background.
Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Interest in project management, clinical trial biosample collection and bioanalysis principles.

Responsibilities

Support biosample operational activities and contribute to day-to-day biosample execution.
Assist with the full biosample lifecycle including collection, analysis, data reporting and storage.
Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure information is available to all parties.
Apply professional standards with attention to detail and develop proficiency with digital tools and coding.
Engage in professional development and participate in internal office-based initiatives.
