Job summary

Places Leisure is part of Places for People Group, a social enterprise focused on building active communities. We are seeking a Placemaker Manager to lead a high-performing team, driving membership acquisition and delivering services across leisure facility activities.

You will oversee rota management, training & development and HR matters while collaborating with senior leaders to meet local targets. You will bring experience in leisure/health centres, strong customer service and admin skills,

Qualifications

• You will have previous experience of working within a similar role, ideally within a leisure/health centre environment and have well rounded knowledge of customer service and administration.
• Ideally you will have previous management experience and a good understanding of all aspects of running a successful Leisure Centre, from membership acquisition, maximising sales, rota management etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop a high performing team through ongoing training, coaching and will ensure all prospective members are shown around the facility and encouraged to acquire a membership option that meets their needs.
• Manage the placemaking team on items such as Rota Management, Training & Development and HR Matters and will need to feed back any areas of concern to your management team.
• Work closely with your manager to develop detailed plans to deliver the locally determined targets for membership acquisition, swimming lessons, courses, session catering and retail.
