Job summary

Perth and Kinross Council is seeking a Place Design Lead to shape the future of Perth and Kinross through design-led placemaking, regeneration and sustainable growth. You will lead strategic place frameworks and work across city centre, towns, rural areas and growth locations.

You will provide urban design expertise, influence decision-making, and deliver high-quality places that benefit the economy, environment and communities across the region.

Qualifications

• Degree in built environment or equivalent for relevant discipline.
• Senior experience in urban design, placemaking or regeneration.
• Membership of RTPI/RIBA/LI desirable.
• Valid UK driving licence and ability to travel across Perth and Kinross.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of place frameworks, masterplans and regeneration initiatives.
• Provide professional design advice on major planning applications and capital projects.
• Collaborate with public agencies, developers and communities to deliver outcomes.
