Job summary

Pegasus Group in Manchester is seeking an Urban Design Director to lead the design team, deliver high-quality urban design and planning strategies, and guide junior staff.

You will work on residential and mixed-use schemes, coordinate with consultants, run stakeholder consultations, and develop masterplans, DAS, and design codes to meet development briefs. This role offers opportunities to win new projects, manage client relationships, and influence placemaking across a diverse client base.

Qualifications

• Education to degree level with a postgraduate qualification in Architecture or Urban Design.
• Strong portfolio with a high level of expertise producing design documentation including DAS, Design Codes, Development Briefs, Compliance Statements etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead urban design and planning activities.
• Feasibility studies and layout development.
• Formulate development briefs and design strategies for projects.
• Coordinate with designers and architects and lead project meetings.
