Qualifications

  • Ability to build relationships, influence others and turn ideas into action.
  • Commitment to sustainability, biodiversity, innovation and delivering positive outcomes for communities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Angus Local Development Plan and help shape the future of our communities.
  • Work with the Service Leader to champion placemaking and support the creation of attractive, inclusive and sustainable places.
  • Collaborate with communities, partners and elected members to plan and deliver on regeneration projects and place-based initiatives.
  • Lead climate change, environmental and nature action programmes, helping to reduce emissions, enhance biodiversity and build resilience.
  • Identify opportunities to protect, restore and connect natural habitats while supporting sustainable development.
  • Provide strategic advice and represent Angus Council at regional and national levels.
  • Inspire and support your teams to deliver high-quality services and continuous improvement.
