Job summary

Leeds City Council is seeking a Place & Regeneration Manager to lead major regeneration programmes across housing, culture, economic development and infrastructure in Leeds. The role requires strong commercial and technical expertise, with a flexible mindset to work beyond a single discipline and to deliver through others.

You will drive complex place-based initiatives, build partnerships with developers, funders and public bodies, and contribute to shaping the city’s regeneration priorities

Qualifications

• Required: Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Desirable: Professional accreditation with one of: Royal Town Planning Institute, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Royal Institute of British Architects or Chartered Institute of Housing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate internally and with external partners to overcome barriers to growth in Leeds and broker delivery solutions.
• Ensure alignment between professional disciplines to achieve priority council place-based objectives.
• Coordinate funding bids and analyse market trends to support regeneration delivery.
• Produce regeneration visions and masterplans, and support planning policy development with specialist advice.
