Job summary

Astute People are seeking a Piping Supervisor for an Energy from Waste project in North London. The role is an approx 24-month contract with immediate start.

You will lead the piping works on site, drive subcontractor productivity, manage daily delivery, and act as the first-line technical and IR contact for subcontractors. You must hold SSSTS/SMSTS and have relevant EiW experience; outside IR35.

Qualifications

• Experience as Piping Lead/Supervisor in Energy from Waste or similar sector.
• SSSTS/SMSTS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee piping works package on site.
• Drive subcontractor productivity and daily delivery control.
• Escalate risks: programme dates, safety, quality, or performance.
• Act as first-line technical and IR contact for piping subcontractors.
• Escalate issues via Package Manager to Discipline Manager and Construction Manager.

Job description

Astute's Power team are looking for an Piping Supervisor on an approx 24 month contract basis to start immediately on an Energy from Waste project in North London.

Key skills

• Oversee piping works package on site, in accordance with the Site Delivery Operating Model's Supervisor Accountability Model.
• Drive subcontractor productivity and maintain direct control of daily delivery.
• Escalate in real time where:
  • Programme dates are at risk.
  • Safety or quality is compromised.
  • Subcontractor performance falls short of expectations.
  • Interface conflicts remain unresolved.
• Execute the daily control cycle for the piping package.
• Act as first-line technical and IR point of contact for piping subcontractor operatives.
• Escalate issues through the Package Manager to the Discipline Manager and Construction Manager, as required.
• Candidates must hold SSSTS / SMSTS Card.
• Candidates must have relevant experience as an Piping Lead/Supervisor in the Energy from Waste / similar sector.
