Job summary

Astute People is seeking a Civil Supervisor for a water treatment project in North London on a 3-month contract. The role focuses on supervising civil construction, leading site teams and subcontractors, and ensuring works meet project requirements and safety standards.

The candidate will oversee progress, manage quality, and address delays while promoting a collaborative working environment. SSSTS & CSCS/CCNSG are required, with EUSR Water Card desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day civil construction activities on site.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors and labour to deliver works safely and efficiently.
• Monitor construction progress against the project programme and specifications.
• Ensure all civil works are carried out to the required quality standards and in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, environmental, and site compliance requirements.
• Identify and address potential issues or delays, escalating where appropriate.
• Provide effective leadership and support to site teams, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Must hold an in-date SSSTS & CSCS / CCNSG Card
• EUSR Water Card / Thames Water Passport (desirable).
