Job summary

Astute People’s Power team is recruiting a Building Services Supervisor for an Energy from Waste project in the West Midlands. The role is a 6-month minimum contract, outside IR35, demanding strong supervision of M&E installs in line with RAMS, drawings and programme.

The ideal candidate will hold SSSTS/SMSTS and CCNSG/CSCS cards and will coordinate subcontractors, site teams and equipment, with occasional weekend work as part of a rota.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in Energy from Waste sector.
• Experience with M&E installation and RAMS reviews.
• In-date SSSTS/SMSTS and CCNSG/CSCS cards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day Building Services delivery within the delegated area.
• Coordinate M&E installation works with other trades.
• Ensure works meet contract, specifications, drawings, budget and quality.
• Maintain records of activities, inspections, and QA/QC.
• Lead project meetings and coordinate subcontractors.
• Occasional weekend rota as needed.

Job description

Astute's Power team are looking to recruit a Building Services Supervisor on an Energy from Waste Project in West Midlands on a 6-month minimum contract.

Key skills

• Ensure HSEQ requirements are incorporated into the Building Services scope, with appropriate risks identified, controlled and mitigated.
• Reviews RAMS and ensures M&E installation works are carried out safely and in accordance with approved documentation.
• Provides a strong, consistent site presence, supervising M&E installation works within the Administration Building and addressing issues as they arise.
• Takes ownership of the day-to-day management and delivery of the Building Services package within the delegated area.
• Ensures M&E works are delivered in accordance with the contract, specifications, drawings, programme, budget and required quality standards.
• Identifies and resolves clashes, coordination issues and interfaces between M&E services, structural works, finishes and other trades.
• Coordinates Building Services subcontractors and site teams to ensure works are properly planned, resourced and delivered safely and efficiently.
• Maintains accurate records of M&E installation activities, progress, inspections, technical queries and outstanding works.
• Oversees Building Services quality control, inspection, testing and commissioning requirements.
• Leads and participates in relevant Building Services coordination, progress and project meetings, including weekly and monthly meetings.
• Captures lessons learned and supports continuous improvement, with occasional weekend availability required as part of a rota.
• Candidates must have relevant experience within the Energy from Waste sector with either Client, EPC or Sub-contractor level.
• Must hold relevant and in-date tickets such as SSSTS / SMSTS & CCNSG/CSCS cards
