Piping Supervisor: Power Generation

Location: Bedford
Duration: 6 Weeks

Hours: 10 hours per day – Monday to Saturday
Start: Mondy 2nd Febraury

Rate: £30.00 per hour Monday to Friday / £35.00 per hour weekend – PAYE inc hol pay

Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Piping Supervisor to support a new build power generation project in Bedford. This is a short-term assignment overseeing piping installation activities, ensuring work is delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day piping activities on a live power generation construction site
• Coordinate pipefitters, welders, and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with project drawings, specifications, and method statements
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
• Conduct toolbox talks, site briefings, and task risk assessments
• Liaise with site management, QA/QC, and other discipline supervisors
• Monitor progress against programme and report on issues or delays
• Ensure materials, permits, and access are in place ahead of works
• Support inspection and testing activities as required

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Piping Supervisor on power generation or energy infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of piping systems, installation methods, and site sequencing
• SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) – essential
• Valid CSCS card
• Strong understanding of UK HSE regulations
• Ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with site stakeholders
• Experience working on new build projects preferred
