Job summary

CPB Northwest Ltd is seeking a skilled Pipeline Pressure Test Technician to support a testing team on site across challenging terrains. The role requires setting up equipment, conducting hydrostatic or pneumatic tests, and strict adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid High-Pressure Testing Competent Person certification.
• Relevant field safety card (e.g., EUSR Water Hygiene, CSCS, CCNSG).
• Hands-on experience with high-volume fill pumps, pressure stroke pumps, manifold set-ups, calibrated test gauges, and electronic line monitors.
• Physical ability to lift heavy rigging equipment, manage industrial hoses, and work outdoors or in confined spaces.
• 2–3 years as a dedicated pressure tester or mechanical fitter.

Responsibilities

• Set up blind flanges, temporary headers, high-pressure hoses, manifolds, and safety relief valves.
• Execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) to isolate the test segment.
• Conduct system flushing, venting/de-aeration, and slow filling; pressurise safely using water or inert gas.
• Track and record performance with dual-pen charts, deadweight testers, and electronic dataloggers.
• Cord off high-pressure areas, establish exclusion zones, patrol perimeters, and halt operations if risks arise.
