Job summary

CPB Northwest Ltd is seeking a reliable Confined Space Operative to support civil engineering projects including water, wastewater, drainage networks, and subterranean structures. The role is outdoors and physically demanding, with strict health and safety procedures to follow.

You will perform safe entry into confined spaces, execute maintenance tasks, and operate specialized equipment such as gas monitors and high-pressure jetters.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Confined Space Entry Certification (Medium- or High-Risk as site requires).
• CSCS Card is required.
• Manual handling and First Aid awareness.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe entry into and work within confined spaces (manholes, culverts, wet/dry wells, sewers, shafts).
• Carry out civil maintenance, descaling, blockages clearance, silt/tank cleaning, and pipe/cable installation.
• Operate gas monitors and breathing apparatus if high-risk; manage lifeline communications.
