Job description

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHS Lanarkshire Trauma and Orthopaedic team for a part time Band 5 Physiotherapist for the purposes of weekend working. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team at University Hospital Wishaw.

The successful candidate would be contracted to work 1 Sunday shift a month, with the opportunity of picking up extra shifts to cover AL/ SL.

Appropriate training and support will be provided to develop staff joining the physiotherapy team.

What we'll need you to bring
  • Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration
  • The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
  • Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology
  • Car driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence if relevant to the post

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

It would be great if you also have
  • Member of CSP

  • Team working involving MDT

  • Rehabilitation experience in community or acute setting

  • Experience or interest in specialist area

1.85 hours

You will do one shift a month (7.5 hr shift) which works out at 1.85 a week.

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in UHW Physiotherapy within University Hospital Wishaw

The working pattern for this role will be confirmed by the hiring manager.
