Job description

Job Description:

Glenrothes Hospital

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist to join our Intermediate Care Team based in Glenrothes Hospital as part of the Integrated Community Assessment and Support Service (ICASS).

You will require NHS experience working with adults, mainly Older People, with assessment and treatment skills related to this patient group.

Patients are seen as inpatients, in their own homes, homely settings, or as outpatients. The team focuses on inpatient and community rehabilitation, preventing unnecessary admissions, supporting early discharge, and enabling patients to remain independent at home.

You need a degree in Physiotherapy, registration with the HCPC, and evidence of ongoing professional development suitable for the band. Experience in audit, service development, and supervising junior staff (Band 6 level) is required.

There may be occasions to work at other community hospital sites. Our service offers supervision, PDP, and training opportunities. The ability to travel within the area is essential, as part of this community-based role. Working hours are flexible over 7 days, with public holiday work (excluding Christmas Day and New Year's Day).

Interviews will be conducted face-to-face.

For informal enquiries, please contact Jane Baird, Physiotherapy Team Leader.

Note: Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this role may require a different level of criminal records check. If classified as a 'regulated role,' appointment is subject to joining the PVG Scheme. Details will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager or Recruitment Team. For more information, please visit the relevant government website.

We offer flexible working, family-friendly policies, and support for disabled candidates, long-term conditions, or neurodivergent individuals through reasonable adjustments.
