Job Opportunity: PHP Back End Developer

A great opportunity awaits as a PHP Back End Developer where you will take a proactive role within our talented Digital Team helping to build great websites and apps for a diverse range of well-known brands.

You will take responsibility for projects and will work closely with the digital team, sharing your IT/digital skills.

About You

You’re looking to join an ambitious, busy agency and share experience on all sorts of projects. You will be enthusiastic, focused, and passionate about your craft, willing to identify and embrace new emerging technologies. In a nutshell, you’ll love writing great code!

You will have solid and successful technical knowledge, including modern programming skills, and at least 2+ years of experience as a back-end developer.

You will possess excellent communication skills and have a keen attention to detail.

Essential and Desirable Requirements

• Proven experience in performing all technical aspects of back-end web development
• Highly proficient in PHP and MySQL
• Experience building responsive websites with a mobile-first approach
• Experience working with front-end web developers
• In-depth knowledge of current coding techniques and best practices
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable and confident in client meetings
• Flexible attitude with proven team experience
• Proactive problem-solving approach
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Computer science qualification (degree or equivalent)
• Good working knowledge of .NET (Visual Studio, C#) and Umbraco
• Understanding of UX/UI designs and techniques
• Knowledge of app development for iOS and Android
• Knowledge of SEO, form tracking, and split testing approaches
• Experience with SVN and version control management
