Job Opportunity: PHP Back End Developer

A great opportunity awaits as a PHP Back End Developer, where you will play a proactive role within our talented Digital Team, helping to build excellent websites and apps for a diverse range of well-known brands.

You will take responsibility for projects and work closely with the digital team, sharing your IT/digital skills.

About You

You’re looking to join an ambitious, busy agency and share your experience on various projects. You will be enthusiastic, focused, passionate about your craft, and willing to embrace new emerging technologies. In a nutshell, you love writing great code!

You should have solid and successful technical knowledge, including modern programming skills, and possess at least 2+ years of experience as a back-end developer.

You must have excellent communication skills and keen attention to detail.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience in all technical aspects of back-end web development
• Highly proficient in PHP and MySQL
• Experience building responsive websites with a mobile-first approach
• Experience collaborating with front-end developers
• In-depth knowledge of current coding techniques and best practices
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable and confident in client meetings
• Flexible attitude with proven team-working experience
• Proactive problem-solving approach
• Experience working under tight deadlines
• Computer science qualification (degree or equivalent)
• Good working knowledge of .NET (Visual Studio, C#) and Umbraco
• Understanding of UX/UI design principles
• Knowledge of app development for iOS and Android
• Understanding of SEO, form tracking, and split testing approaches
• Experience with SVN and version control management
