Job summary

Lexington Health is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and capillary puncture across neonate to geriatric patients. The role includes point-of-care testing and specimen collection for laboratory analyses, with oversight of procurement and training activities.

The candidate will assist in maintaining accurate test workflows, sample handling, and report delivery, ensuring high quality and timely results in a busy lab setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 1 Year of Experience is required.
• 1 Year of Experience may be substituted for formal training in Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant, or other applicable area; Apprenticeship option exists.

Responsibilities

• Handle blood specimen collection from neonatal to geriatric patients with professionalism.
• Perform waived and moderate complexity point of care testing and document QC.
• Assist in procurement training and orientation of new employees.
• Maintain patient identification, test accessioning, and report distribution workflows.
