University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a flexible Phlebotomist to join the Phlebotomy Service across Royal Derby Hospital, Florence Nightingale Hospital and community sites in Derbyshire. You must hold a clean UK driving licence and be prepared to cover 7am–7pm, 7 days a week.

The role requires phlebotomy experience, hospital/care environment exposure, and good communication with patients, plus basic IT skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in phlebotomy and blood collection.
• Experience in hospital or care settings.
• Customer care experience is preferred.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsabilités

• Take blood samples across Derbyshire locations as part of a large team.
• Organise daily workload to meet turnaround standards and support audits.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate clearly with patients and users.
• Assist with stock control and efficient use of equipment.
