Job description

Pulse Phlebotomy Team is currently recruiting experienced Phlebotomists/Healthcare Support Workers for full-time roles based in the Hertfordshire & Buckinghamshire area.

Position Details:

• Location: Hertfordshire & Buckinghamshire
• Hours: 2-3 days per week, shift patterns vary
• Duration: Ongoing until June 2024
• Pay Rate: Up to £20 per hour (umbrella rate) with weekend enhancements

Responsibilities:

1. Complete POCT cholesterol checks, including height, weight, waist measurements, heart rate, and blood pressure, and input data into the system.
2. Draw and correctly label two blood samples per participant, and store them properly.
3. Monitor participant welfare during appointments and escalate issues as needed.
4. Provide signposting, advice, and guidance to participants.
5. Prepare samples for courier collection at each shift's end.

Essential Requirements:

• At least 12 months of recent phlebotomy experience.
• Proof of competency as a phlebotomist.
• Willingness to register with our agency.
• Driving license is highly beneficial due to mobile sites.

Additional Notes:

Candidates should have HCA experience to work 2-3 days per week in a 7-day service. The role involves long days from 7.30 am to 6.30 pm, with Sunday hours from 10.30 am to 5 pm. Sites will be mobile, rotating every 4-5 weeks, so flexibility and driving ability are advantageous.
