Job summary

Woodlands School in Greater London is seeking an exceptional Phase Leader with responsibility for Phase 1. The role includes leading the EYFS curriculum and overseeing transitions for new pupils, while teaching a class four days a week.

You will drive creative learning, mentor colleagues, and work with a forward-thinking Senior Leadership Team. The position comes with induction, coaching, flexible working, and well-being support.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a phase in a primary school.
• Strong capability to oversee EYFS and non-subject learning across the school.
• Ability to teach a class four days per week while leading Phase 1.

Responsibilities

• Lead Phase 1 curriculum and transitions for new pupils.
• Inspire and support teachers to adopt creative approaches to learning.
• Coordinate English or maths across the school.

What we need is an exceptional Phase Leader with responsibility for Phase 1. The role will include responsibility for the EYFS curriculum and the curriculum for children who are not engaged in subject-specific learning, new pupils’ transitions in to school and leading English or maths across the school. The successful candidate will teach a class 4 days a week and have Phase Leader / PPA time for 1 day a week.

We are looking for a practitioner who is keen to take on a new challenge and is able to initiate creative approaches to learning and inspire other teachers.
