Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a registered or soon-to-be registered Pharmacy Technician to join our inpatient dispensary at Southampton General Hospital. This fixed-term secondment will support band 4 to 5 progression, with upgrade to band 5 upon competency sign-off.

Qualifications

• Registered or soon-to-be registered Pharmacy Technician.
• Band 4-5 progression with opportunity to upgrade to Band 5 on completion of competencies.
• Fixed term secondment ending Sep 2027.

Responsibilities

• Perform general pharmaceutical duties under supervision.
• Undertake day-to-day supervision and workload coordination for staff.
• Dispensing duties in inpatient dispensary with competency-based training.
• Stock control and training of junior staff.
