This is a great opportunity to develop your Pharmacy career and make a difference to the lives of our patients.

How will you do it?

With a technical yet personable approach, you’ll inspire the pharmacy team around you, ensuring our standards reflect that we care about our patients. Legally and ethically, we want to provide the very best service.

Accuracy and care are central to this role. You will oversee the safe and effective operation of the pharmacy and healthcare business, leading the daily management of the dispensary. You’ll be an expert in the technical aspects of medicine supply while delivering excellent patient care.

Guiding and supporting your pharmacy team and working closely with the Pharmacist and Store Leader, you’ll be influential in growing our business.

What you’ll be doing day to day.

You will help deliver the safe and effective operation of the pharmacy and healthcare business, leading the daily dispensary activities.

Your duties will include:
  • Responsibility for legal, safe, and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
  • Achieving targets for delivery of items and services income.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal, professional, and guidance standards in Boots.
  • Engaging with customers to ensure they leave informed and confident about their healthcare, coaching team members to do the same.
  • Seeking opportunities to collaborate with external stakeholders to secure locally commissioned services and promote services and items.
  • Ensuring efficient dispensary operations and minimizing dispensing losses.
  • Ordering medicines, labeling, dispensing, endorsing, and checking prescriptions.
What you’ll need to have.

We offer an exciting career opportunity to advance your pharmacy journey. You must have an NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

Beyond experience, we seek individuals with a genuine passion for customer care, capable of supporting and leading the dispensary team and implementing pharmacy strategies.

Completion of a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent is also required to work within our dispensaries.

You may wish to become an Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT); we provide the necessary training and support. As you develop your healthcare knowledge through these roles, your pay and benefits will reflect this growth.
