We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Mental Health team at HMP Highpoint, a category C Prison located in the village of Stradishall in Suffolk.

Highpoint is a male prison with a capacity of 1370 males.

You will be based within the healthcare department but will also go out to the wings to administer medication. The pharmacy team consists of 5 members.

Hours

This role is a permanent 37.5 hours per week over 4 days, Monday to Friday, from 7.45am to 6.15pm.

Salary

This is a full-time position with an annual salary up to £28,247 - £36,500 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality, patient-centered care by listening to and acting on patient feedback
  • Ensuring a safe and secure medicines management service, maintaining accurate medical records, and following standard operating procedures
  • Delivering non-judgemental care within professional standards, including timely medication administration and cost-effective prescribing
  • Working as a key member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Experience in hospital, community, or prison environments is desirable but not essential.
