Job summary

Qualifications

• Band 3 position if qualifications met; training may be via apprenticeship.
• On-the-job training with classroom learning (minimum 6 hours weekly).

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of pharmacy support workers and apprentices in patient services areas.
• Train staff rotating through the dispensary (general dispensing, hatch duty, stock receipt, stock control).
• Assist in reception duties and general dispensing; handle prescriptions and financial transactions.
• Serve as link between patients, carers, medical staff and pharmacy staff; uphold patient confidentiality.
• Contribute to accurate, efficient service delivery and uphold Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust values.
