Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 Senior Pharmacy Support Worker in the Procurement & Stores team at the Royal Free North Middlesex Hospital site in Enfield. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) includes late, weekend and bank holiday shifts as per the rota, with a salary of £30,630 - £32,346 per annum inclusive of HCAS.

The post holder will support the supervision and training of a team of support workers, assist with stock management, receiving deliveries,

Responsibilities

  • To assist in the assembly of stock to wards and departments.
  • To mark and assemble I.V. fluids for delivery to wards and departments.
  • To accurately compute stock orders for wards and departments.
  • To assist in ensuring work is prioritised effectively within the department.
  • To assist with the top-up service as directed by the Technician Team manager (after appropriate training).
  • To assist with the EDC and OMNICEL top-up.
  • To complete other tasks within distribution as directed by the Lead Technician.
  • To manage the process of medication returns within the department in a timely manner
  • To handle bulk fluids accurately ensuring accurate storage and handling.

The post holder will support the supervision and training of a team of support workers who rotate through procurement and distribution. The post holder

will assist in good receiving duties and the general supply of medicines, receive and check deliveries of pharmacy stock, assemble I.V. fluids and stock medicines for delivery to wards/departments and assist in the return of medicines. The post holder will consistently work in an accurate, effective and efficient manner to support the provision of a high-quality service to patients, trust staff and departments.
