Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a diligent Stores and Distribution operative to support the Central Pharmacy Stores and Distribution Service. You will help with ward top-ups, packing, dispatch and recycling of medicines, ensuring accurate data input on the Pharmacy Stock Control System.

Full training will be provided, with emphasis on safe manual handling and working as part of a friendly team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or stores environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills is encouraged and supported for development.
• Willingness to perform heavy lifting and manual handling as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ward top-ups and distribution of medicines and supplies.
• Receipting, preparing and dispatching goods to wards and departments.
• Recycling of medicines and maintaining stock control records.
