Job summary
skills4group in Newborough is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. You will support day‑to‑day running, assist customers, and work towards a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training.
No previous pharmacy experience is required; you will complete the apprenticeship over typically 15 months, with blended learning and on‑the‑job training, gaining hands-on experience in prescription counter services, stock control, and customer
Qualifications
- GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
- You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.
Responsibilities
- Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
- Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
- Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
- Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
- Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
