Job summary

Ilkley Pharmacy is seeking a friendly Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join our busy community team in Ilkley. The role offers hands‑on experience and training towards a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship, with support provided throughout the course.

You will engage with customers, help with counter services, and learn to handle prescriptions under supervision. Full training begins with blended learning over approximately 15 months.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent; Maths and English desirable but not essential
• For applicants without Maths/English Level 2, tests will determine suitability for the course
• GCSE/Functional Skills training provided via the Apprenticeship

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries
• Assist with the preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety, and confidentiality
• Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
