Job summary

Skills4Group is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice in Ilkley. You will support the daily running of the pharmacy, assist customers, and work toward a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support.

Key duties include helping customers at the counter, assisting with prescriptions under supervision, managing stock, and using pharmacy systems. No previous pharmacy experience is required, and you will commit to contracted hours and guided learning hours.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, Maths and English desired but not essential.
• Applicants without Maths/English Level 2 may need to complete initial tests to determine suitability for the course.
• Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 apprenticeship (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
• Assist with preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.
• Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.
