Job summary

JustApply is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team in Catterick. You will gain hands-on experience while working towards a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship, typically over about 15 months, with full training and support provided.

You will assist with counter services, stock management, and the processing of prescriptions under supervision, developing strong customer service and healthcare skills in a friendly environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
• Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
