Job summary

Skills4Group is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to support day-to-day pharmacy operations and customer service. You will train while working, completing a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support provided.

Key duties include assisting customers, handling prescriptions under supervision, stock management, and using pharmacy systems. No prior pharmacy experience is required, and you will commit to contracted hours and guided learning.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
• No previous pharmacy experience is required; full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Support customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
• Assist with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision).
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.
• Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.
