Job summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Procurement Officer (Band 3) to provide essential procurement and administrative support across multiple hospital sites. The role focuses on medicines procurement, timely invoice processing and efficient clerical tasks within the Pharmacy team.

Based at North Tyneside General Hospital, you will contribute to safe, cost-effective medicine supply while maintaining accurate records and reports.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ordering, invoicing and office procedures.
• Experience with computer stock control systems is desirable.
• GCS/GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above or equivalent numeracy/literacy skills.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Business & Administration and Customer Service are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procure medicines and ensure timely processing of invoices.
• Support Pharmacy managers with clerical tasks and data entry.
• Assist in stock control and shortage management as required.
