Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop pharmacy procurement and homecare services, helping ensure patients have timely access to safe, effective and value-for-money medicines.
• Use data and technology to improve pharmacy services, managing key pharmacy IT systems and producing meaningful information to support decision-making and service improvement.
• Lead a small business and administration team, providing direction, support and opportunities for development.
• Contribute to medicines governance and service development, including the Medicines Homecare Group and the North East and North Cumbria Formulary.
• Drive improvement and manage risk, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, patient safety and the use of medicines across the Trust.
• Use your specialist pharmacy technician expertise, providing technical advice and supporting clinical and operational pharmacy services when required.
• Work collaboratively across the Trust, building effective relationships with pharmacy, clinical, finance, IT and external partners to deliver better medicines services.
