We are looking for an enthusiastic and determined individual to join our progressive team, with a national reputation for innovation and development. You will be part of the Production team using your leadership and technical skills within our licenced Pharmacy Production Unit (PPU).
You will be part of this exciting future, where the PPU develops products and processes to support other healthcare professional at ward level across the Trust.

The post will be based at Wansbeck General Hospital but the post holder may be required to work at other sites within the Trust.
Weekend cover will be based at NSECH to support the 7 day clinical service.
Production Pharmacy Manufacturing Technician (Band 5) will aid in the maintenance of the Pharmacy Quality System and meeting requirements of Good Manufacturing Practice. There will be a requirement to carry out Initial Accuracy Checking of bespoke Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatments (SACT) and Ready-to-administer (RtA) antibiotics and Assembled batch products (Over-labelling) and all associated documents.
Your role will include oversight and line management of Production Team Leaders to assist and develop the role to ensure team is performing effectively.
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. Production Pharmacy Manufacturing Technician (Band 5):
Initial Accuracy Checking of bespoke Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatments (SACT), Ready-to-administer (RtA) batched antibiotics, and Assembled batch products (Over-labelling)Lead on training and development of staff within the PPU.Line Management of Production Team Leaders and Production Assistants.Report monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) figures to ensure PPU is operating effectively.Plan and allocate staffing resource to meet service demands.
