Job description

Production Pharmacy Manufacturing Technician (Band 5)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and determined individual to join our progressive team, renowned for innovation and development. You will be part of the Production team, utilizing your leadership and technical skills within our licensed Pharmacy Production Unit (PPU).

This role involves developing products and processes to support healthcare professionals at ward level across the Trust.

The position is based at Wansbeck General Hospital, with potential work at other sites within the Trust. Weekend shifts will be based at NSECH to support a 7-day clinical service.

The role includes maintaining the Pharmacy Quality System and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice. Responsibilities include initial accuracy checking of bespoke Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatments (SACT), Ready-to-administer (RtA) antibiotics, assembled batch products (over-labelling), and associated documentation.

You will oversee and line-manage Production Team Leaders, supporting their development to ensure team effectiveness.
