Job summary
Boots UK is recruiting for a Trainee Dispenser to join our in-store pharmacy team in the UK. You will support the pharmacist, greet customers, and learn to dispense prescriptions while ensuring safe supply of medicines. Full training will be provided as you complete the NVQ2 Dispenser programme.
This role is in-store, UK-based, with no remote options. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and training will progress toward Pharmacy Technician or leadership opportunities.
Qualifications
- Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
- Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
Responsibilities
- Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
- Dispense prescriptions while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, collection).
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in store to deliver pharmacy services.
- Provide care and advice to patients about medicines; refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
- Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
- Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with processes.
- Support patients in managing their prescriptions with reliable repeats and adherence.
